Who Is John Yoon (Verum Ecom)? Is This Dropshipping Guru Legit?

John Yoon is the face behind the Verum Ecom YouTube channel and co-founder of the Verum Ecom brand.

He co-founded Verum Ecom with his partners Richard Yancey and Marek Dobrenko in 2019.

John Yoon’s personal e-commerce journey started back in 2017. In just 2 short years, he developed a knack for finding new markets and products to sell through the dropshipping model.

The first successful store he and his team at Verum Ecom shared on their YouTube channel was a one-product-store selling the Mosquito Trap where he made 552,751 dollars in just 2 months’ time.

After Ad Spend, and cost of goods, he was left with a profit of 75k.

That case study quickly picked up views among the dropshipping community causing the Verum Ecom channel to quickly rise in popularity.

After a bunch of tutorial videos, they created a second successful case study, this time he shows how they amassed half a million dollars in revenue by selling the posture brace on a one-product-store.

The third and last case study video on his Youtube Chanel was surprisingly a bit different, this time he chose to step away from his own advice in creating a branded one product store and started a general store that generated 100,000 in 30 days.

So… Is he legit?

The difference between John Yoon and other dropshipping gurus is that he actually reveals not just the winning products he sells but also the store names.

This gives us an audience the power to fact-check what he is saying.

For example for mosquitotrapx.com we can check the stats of the domain.

And by doing so, we can see the domain has very good stats considering it’s an e-commerce store that was only really active for 2 small months.

The same can be said for the other store he shared in his second case study: mr-posture.com.

Both domains have really good stats which indicates they must have had a large volume of traffic coming in at some point.

On top of that, their case studies are simply so in-depth and really dive deep into the entire process that it’s hard to imagine this is all faked.

They even reveal how much net profit they make off each case study.

For example for the first store, Mosquitotrapx they revealed the profit margin was as low as 13%, good for a total profit of 75k.

One thing I like about John Yoon is that he simply doesn’t throw his lifestyle in your face like other dropshipping gurus.

There are no lamborghinis, no fancy villas and no private jets in any of his youtube videos.

He’s not trying to use FOMO-techniques to get you to buy his course like other gurus do.

And he simply provides the dropshipping community with SO much free content in the form of tutorials and case studies that it’s hard not to love the guy.

Verum Ecom Course (Ecom Foundations)

Now if you’re reading this article and wondering about whether or not he is legit, you are likely interested in the Verum Ecom course called Ecom Foundations.

Now I’ll be honest, you don’t need a course to get started with dropshipping. And John Yoon will tell you the exact same thing.

There is simply SO much free content to be found online that you can get started without buying a course.

The Verum Ecom Youtube Channel alone has many different tutorials and guides to get you started with Shopify Dropshipping.

Just like our blog contains a bunch of guides to help you get started with Shopify dropshipping.

But sometimes you just need that extra push. Sometimes you just want that A-Z guide to lead the way.

An exact step-for-step blueprint as you would say. That’s what the verum ecom course can provide for you.

Don’t expect it to be your secret ticket to success, you’ll have to work hard to reach success but you can benefit from an A-Z dropshipping course.

Especially one that is reasonably priced at just 99 dollars!

Conclusion

John Yoon is clearly a successful drop shipper that you can learn a lot from. His dropshipping case studies and tutorials are worth checking out if you haven’t done so already.
